I saw Eclipse. I'm not impressed.

Umm, so this scene was way hotter better than what expected it to be, but everything else was.. well.. not quite as amazing as seeing Robward with his shirt open. On a bed..

I know, I know, but seriously.. There were some MAJOR flaws in the movie which, at times, made me want to laugh out loud when there clearly was nothing to laugh about. Bella's wig. Oh my. It was even worse than Jacob's Twilight wig and Rosalie's New Moon wig combined. And puh-lease, that Rosalie and Bella scene? Wtf happened to Rosalie's heartfelt confession? It's not that Nikki Reed didn't do a great job, she did, but the whole scene just didn't play out the way I had pictured it.

There's about a thousand other minor things that I think should have been different (like longer scenes; I felt like the whole thing was just one big collage of scenes put together just to try and fit everything - every page of every chapter - into one movie. I liked it better the Twilight way - leave out some stuff to make the most important scenes more intense).

So my thoughts when I walked out of the theater? Well, I didn't hate it, I just didn't particularly like it.

As always, lots of love, PW

A looong way down.

I read a lot, just because I love to read. I also love books that are somewhat funny and have a bit of humor in them. And I love Nick Hornby. So chances are; I'm going to love his novel A Long Way Down too. I'm currently on page 30 (I bought it yesterday), and I already feel comfortable recommending it to you guys (whoever you are out there in the blogosphere). If you want to know what it's about, here's what wiki has to say:

A Long Way Down is a novel written by British author Nick Hornby, published in 2005. It is a dark comedy, playing off the themes of suicide, angst, depression and promiscuity.

The story is written in the first-person narrative from the points of view of the four main characters, Martin, Maureen, Jess and JJ. These four strangers happen to meet on the roof of a high building called Topper's House in London on New Year's Eve, each with the intent of committing suicide. Their plans for death in solitude, however, are ruined when they meet. The novel recounts their misadventures as they decide to come down from the roof alive - however temporarily that may be.

Crocodiles and Penguins.. And Snakes too.

Best friends 4evah

Remember how I told you I was going to a zoo/aquarium yesterday? I did go there, and it turns out it was quite fun, almost as fun as when I was a kid. I've always loved animals (even the dangerous, lethal kind) you see. Here are some pics I took yesterday.

Hello there!
Watching the penguins get fed never gets old..
If I wanted to.. I could eat you alive.

Love, PW

My first REAL festival!

I'm growing up, I really am. Graduation was a big deal and all, it was, but this, my first real festival, was even bigger. Almost.

This was not entirely my first musical festival, though. BUT it was the first festival where I had to live in a tent for seven days. I've learned a lot about myself so far. I'll make you a list:
1) I don't like bees much. Especially not if they're in my tent.
2) I need toilet paper to live. Almost more than I need food.
3) I love music more than I thought possible.
4) Cupcakes and chips for breakfast is only cool for the first three or four days you try it.
5) I think I'm in love with Julian Casablancas. (Yeah, not really, but he's funny. And I love The Strokes. He was amazing live, and hilarious as hell. Quotes of the day: "We're in a fucking forest!" (we were actually in a forest, it's just that he was the only one to point it out) and "So are you fucking in some tents or what?" Hehe.)
Oh, and Muse! Muse! I've seen Muse live! I was wrong when I said my life was complete after the Green Day and Joan Jett concert. Now, my life is complete. Almost. I become more complete after every concert I go to.

Happy summer time, PW
