Wallflowers, Movies and the sun-sun-sun dance

I have great news, people. Great news. Remember that book, The Perks of Being a Wallflower (yes, the one where I got the idea for the name of this blog from)? They're adapting it into a movie! OMFG with a loud squee. This made me so, so happy. By 'they' I mean the movie making people of this world, and the author of the novel - who I heard would be the director of the film (which I think is great). And guess what, I heard Emma Watson will play the role of Sam, which is.. bizarre, in the way that I can't see her playing any other character other then that preppy little witch. Which is probably because I've never seen her as anything else than that. But I do wish the whole cast (and crew!) the best of luck with making this movie, and please, please, for the sake of the fans, make it a good one!

Speaking of movies, I watched 'Water for Elephants' the other day. (I know, I'm probably the last person on Earth not to have swooned over a sweaty, animal-loving Mr. Pattinson on the big screen for the third time already). But I watched it, and it was beyond great. And I do mean beyond great. So; if you haven't watched it yet - do it!

Remember how I always say my life is complete after having been to a concert? Well, it's true. With every concert I go to, my life becomes increasingly more complete. I know that's weird. Love is what should make you 'complete' and all that, but to me, it's currently books and music. In the last month or so, I've seen Noah & the Whale and Arctic Monkeys live. I'm telling you, nothing, nothing, can beat the feeling of screaming "I bet that you look good on the dancefloor" along with xhundres of other people while jumping up and down, hands raised to the ceiling. Nothing. Except singing along to "Five years time" by NATW live, doing the sun-sun-sun moves with your hands like they do in the music vid: the sun-sun-sun dance.

Okay, I'm falling asleep right now. Have a good weekend, you all:)

Looking for Alaska.

If you've read it - high five. If you haven't; do it now! That is all.
Oh, and you should also check out John Green (the author) on youtube (vlogbrothers). He is awesome. No, really, he is.

My silence is my self defense.

And So It Goes
(Billy Joel)

In every heart, there is a room
A sanctuary safe and strong
To heal the wounds of lovers past
Until a new one comes along.

I spoke to you in cautious tones
You answered me with no pretense
And still I feel I said too much
My silence is my self defense

And every time I've held a rose
It seems I only felt the thorns
And so it goes, and so it goes
And so will you soon I suppose.

But if my silence made you leave
Then that would be my worst mistake
So I will share this room with you
And you can have this heart to break.

And this is why my eyes are closed
It's just as well for all I've seen
And so it goes, and so it goes
And you're the only one who knows.

So I will choose to be with you
As if the choice were mine to make
For you can make decisions too
And you can have this heart to break.

And so it goes and so it goes
And you're the only one who knows.

Weekend words.

Although this blog is mainly optimistic and dancy, happy, smiley and, at times, a little silly for the fun of being random, I know there's more to life for every one of us. We all have our lives, jobs, families, friends, our issues and our pasts to deal with.
To some, life's a smooth ride, but for the majority, life is a roller coaster. Sometimes the ups are so high we feel like we can fly - like we can do anything in the world, like we're on top of it all and have everything under control. And sometimes the downs are so low we feel like we might never get up from that dark place we're in.

Sometimes we feel nothing at all, and we don't know if we're on our way up or down, or simply being stuck in the same place. Sometimes we suddenly go through short lived loops of feelings and experiences, sometimes there's years in between them. Sometimes we long for them to appear, sometimes we pray they will be few and far in between to help us stomach the dizziness and keep our heads from spinning too fast.
No matter where you are in that roller coaster that is life right now, I wish that you'll all remember this one thing: Live for today. And I don't mean live like you will die tomorrow, because that is living because you know you're dying. Live because you know you are alive, not because you know death is to come.

All you will ever have is right now. You may plan for the future, but it will never come. All you will ever have is today, tonight, right now. And right now, you are alive, you are a fire burning and a sun shining. You are the very essence of life, and for that, you are beautiful:)

Try and make every day count. Don't worry too much about tomorrow or the day after. Cry for today. Laugh for today. Love for today. Live for the moment.

How do you know if...?

I guess we're all the same. All we really want to know is.. Does he like me? Do I love her? Am I gay? Or bi?

How we think Google can provide us with that information though, is still a wonder to me.
